what love can break.
There was a hole.
There were some people.
They wanted to fit a word through the hole.
Hopefully the whole word.
Words that fit through the hole can be added to the dictionary.
They wanted to add the word "wholistic" to make the dictionary more complete.
Wholistic means "emphasizing the importance of the whole."
This word would not fit through the hole.
So they dropped the W.
Most of the word remained:
"Holistic"
This word now fits through the hole but it's no longer whole.
But it is in the dictionary.
Who is in charge of this language?
If I ever had to spend time in jail, I'd want to go to the...
Free Range Correctional Facility
Possible tag lines:
"Giving you more room to rehabilitate."
"Incarceration so spaceous you hardly notice."
"As much freedom as we think you can tolerate without being corrupted."
"Enjoy our free range chickens (if you can catch them) or their eggs. (Please choose one or the other.)"
The things you think of while waiting for eggs to cook.
I'm not a lawyer, so as one with only illegal opinions... I found myself wondering: if presented with the need, is it possible to sue onesself for defamation of character?
And could you win?
Contemplating this with some friends, we decided that this might be possible only if you have multiple personality disorder, and one of you sues the other.
To avoid conflict of interest, you'd need two different lawyers, unless you could find a lawyer with multiple personality disorder (preferably with on-demand activation) if both were willing to represent you.
